DR Team

Saludos! The DR team has arrived safely and soundly. We were half awake getting through customs and immagration, but God is good! We were able to nap for a couple hours once we arrived here at the Time Center and awoke to a wonderful brunch and orientation with our host missionary. We are rehearsing and preparing for our next couple of days ahead of us. We will begin our Bathroom Project tomorrow and be visiting a few local churches through the weekend. All of the students are wide eyed and anxious to be a part of what God is doing here in the Dominican Republic. Pray for us as we begin our journey and be part of His story.

Thankful for the safe arrival! Praying for you all as you jump into what God has in store for your time there -- may He go behind and before in all things.

David & Melissa - praying God would broaden your understanding of both His power and presence as you worship, fellowship, and minister. Love you guys.

Praying hard!

Hey DR Questies! It's such a BLESSING to see God using you exactly where i was 5 years ago. I know what its like to be in your shoes! I wish i could have sent you guys off to the DR at YEC this year but i'm currently deployed to Afghanistan. I just want you to know that their are people all over the world praying for you. Allow God to use you. Let him open your eyes to the new experiences. Don't forget what God teaches you while you're there. Keep a journal. The things you learn in the DR will help you to be a better witness to people in your own town/state the rest of your life. Don't lose your spiritual momentum. God will work through you in mysterious ways. I tried to witness to a whole bunch of people while i was their in the DR. I was nervous about it, and having the language barrier didn't help me much. I approached a man and said "Hola!" and he said "hello my name is John And i'm from New York City". God helped me to witness to a person from my own country in a different country! all i'm really trying to say is go out of your spiritual comfort zone! Don't forget why you are their! I'm praying for you guys! ITA, Jerry, and Angelo I'm praying for you guys too i know how stressful the DR can get!
Much Love!
