DR Team- Cercadillo

Saludos! Today was our first day of full ministry here in the DR. We started our bathroom project in the village of Cercadillo. Ina York, our host missionary, has been working in this village for the last five years. We started our day with worship and prayer on the rooftop of where we are staying, as the sun rose. Within minutes of arriving to Cercadillo we were greeted by many of the excited and energetic children. We played many games and soon became human attraction rides, having horseback races and spaceship takeoffs. The team also spent a great amount of the day mixing cement and building the foundation of the area that will serve the community with four bathrooms. It was awesome to be working under the direction of a local pastor of another area, Alberto. We will be heading back to Cercadillo tomorrow for some more time to love on the kids and start building up the walls of the bathrooms. We also will be doing kids ministry in the afternoon at Alberto's church. Pray that God continues to fill us with His love so that it overflows and His direction as we move forward.

I can't believe it's been 2 years since I was there! I just wanted to say this will be something you will never forget and let it yourselves grow over this next week into the servant leaders God is really calling you to be. One of our group motto's during the trip was if you think God is asking you to do something just do it, don't hesitate you'll only regret the opportunity you didn't take. I am be praying for all of you.

Hello lovely Dominican Republic team. I see you are doing amazing work there not that I would expect anything less. Myself as a Dominica republic Q 13 alumni understand some of what you are feeling right now. Trust in the Lord when times get tough, and when your plans change. Because trust me they will.
Vinetta- or should i say Vanilla, as thats what someone of the kids called you over there. I miss you a lot and hope you have someone this trip to remind to take there Malaria mediation. Say hi to everyone for me
Jerry- As much as i like to bug you i hope you know that i think you are an amazing leader and have full faith you are doing amazing things over there.
Stay strong Dominican Republic Q !4

Hey all -

So excited to read about all the things you're already doing -- praying as you continue to serve as the hands and feet of Christ. He who has called you, is faithful.

Melissa & David - as you extend the love of Christ to others, take the time to marvel at the love with which He first loved you. Trusting that through this experience, God will draw near in ways that reveal a greater depth and fullness of his character.

Angelo & Elaina - excited for you guys to return to an experience from a different angle. As God has molded and shaped you since your last go at "Quest", my prayer is that he would once again meet you right where you are, now.

Itamar, Jerry & Vinetta - praying for energy and a refreshed spirit as everything picks up pace. Thankful for your own servant-hearts by which you model what it looks like to love like Jesus.

Praying without ceasing.
Rachel
